Privacy policy

Bowbuilds is run by an independent developer. For any question about your data, write to whereismyrelease@gmail.com.

• Your account: email address, username, password (stored hashed, never in clear) and the profile details you choose to fill in. Your profile is public, except your email address.
• What you post: builds and their photos, comments, votes and follows.
• Form check photos: sent to an AI provider for the analysis and not stored by Bowbuilds. The written report is saved.

Signing in sets one cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. Your browser also keeps your unsaved build draft and tool settings; they stay on your device.

If you accept analytics, these services measure how the site is used and record visits (what you type in forms is masked):

• PostHog: usage analytics and session recordings.
• Google Analytics: where visitors come from.
• Microsoft Clarity: session recordings and heatmaps.

If you decline, PostHog still counts page views and clicks, but without cookies and without linking them to you.

Render hosts the site and its database, Cloudflare serves it and stores uploaded photos, Resend sends our emails, and an AI provider analyses form check photos. Some of them are in the United States.

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings; it removes your profile, builds, comments and votes. For anything else (a copy of your data, a correction, a question), email whereismyrelease@gmail.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
